Wrong, wrong, almost but not quite, ah ha! He found one that fit. With a little fiddling he discovers that it takes multiple twists, first right, then left, then right again to trigger something. When it finished, he heard a 'shunk' upstairs.

Upstairs? Interesting. Baron headed that way, glancing into the bedroom in his way passed to see if the nagging feeling had gone away.

He passed it by, and something was different inside. Does he go in?

Completely aware he was being stupid, Baron couldn't help himself. He stepped into the room.

Looking around, it took him a few minutes to figure out what was different. It had been just a feeling at first. But now, he figured it out. He found various personal knickknacks that weren't in the rest of the house. Drawings of presumably family. Some toys for a child. And a safe.

Baron moved over to the safe and knelt down in front of it. It had been a long time since he had even attempted to crack a safe, but he didn't have nearly enough information to engineer a numerical lock. He gave the safe a once over to see what sort of lock he was dealing with.

It appeared to have two methods of entry, both required to open it. One involved a series of places to insert things, the other seemed patternistic.

Baron looked over the remainder of his keys, looking to see if they were likely candidates for the insertion points. As for the pattern, maybe it was similar to the cellar lock...
