RE: The Barons' Game - Serena Noveau - 07-27-2018 A cloaked figure approached the group outside with a sizeable sack of something heavy "Oh please Hadrian... do not try and make a comeback again, I could have sworn I heard you falter. As for the ring, with your choice in fashion you will have her finger turn green moments after adorning it. After all that ring on your left pinky finger is clearly copper coated in gold leafing, poorly coated I must add.. your finger is turning green. The female voice was cold and calculating, with a tone that delivered confidence and no time for the man's poorly attempted insult. RE: The Barons' Game - Heulen - 07-28-2018 Heulen joins Agnes near the door. "Sounds like our new employer has arrived. Alongside her rival." RE: The Barons' Game - Darby - 07-28-2018 "Perfect! If I hadn't eaten so much, I'd stand to greet one or more of these people." Loud gurgling could be heard. RE: The Barons' Game - Jebidiah - 07-28-2018 Jebidiah was lounging contentedly after his meal. As the words were heard, he let them speak. As the others seemed to react, he stood up and straightened his robe. He began heading outside and had his golem following behind him. As he stepped out, he turned to face the ladies present. With a small bow, his robe glowed briefly for his first statement. His golem also bowed in time with Jebidiah."May the light shine ever on your face, M'Lady. Despite the claims from the self proclaimed men, your team is ready inside. We have finished eating and are soon to begin with strategy. Would you like to join us for the planning?" He moved his arm to gesture towards the inside of the establishment. RE: The Barons' Game - Magikeeper - 08-05-2018 Jebidiah could see the speakers now; on one side were three ladies that had just emerged from the coach. The farthest from the coach was a tall, longer haired, lightly armored elven woman with more than a few scars and no fewer weapons. Between her and Hadrian stood a red-haired noble woman whose presence rather greatly exceeded her small frame. The third woman was cloaked and off to the side, making it difficult to tell what she looked like or even if she was a long eared-elf like the others. Hadrian's group looked like right pack of scoundrels, right down to what seemed to be his personal helper - an elven man with a long face and a perpetual snicker going on. Hadrain himself was the sort of man that'd still look greesy after a bath, his eyebrows somehow managing to have a curve no less sinister than the twirl of his handlebar mustache. He did look a rather fit, at least, and whoever came up with his black suit / cape combo clearly did the best they could. At least, assuming they were asked to make Hadrian look like he was about to execute someone at all times. Hadrian scowled at his ring, and slightly green finger, but was hardly going to let that tarnish his coming victory as wel- "WHAT?!" The startled noble glared at Jebidiah as though he were a ghost looking at his own murderer, the turn of his head so forceful that it shook the hat from head. The top hat hit the ground with a "wump", leaving it to his ever-snickering servant to dust it off and place it back on their lord's head. Hadrian didn't appear to notice, his sickly green eyes darting back and forth in Jedidiah's direction in deep thought. This clearly pleased the red-haired noblewoman standing across from the mustashio greatly; her eyes had been locked on Hadrian to see his response and it was all too clear the man really hadn't been expecting this! She turned to follow Jebidiah in. "Indeed I would! Let's get everyone together, I'm certain Hadrian here would like to confirm you are all fully qualified to participate." She gave Hadrian a knowing smile. Hadrian spun around towards his men. "GET THE LIST!" RE: The Barons' Game - Darby - 08-05-2018 Darby struggled to his feet, his stomach gurgling loudly. Perhaps something hadn't settled in right, or perhaps he had developed some kind of fey allergy. "Darbison here ... *Cough* Jackson Esquire. Present. Accounted for. I've not worked for this lady nor almost any other. Also, I know nothing about your family history." RE: The Barons' Game - Jebidiah - 08-05-2018 He led them inside, containing his own amusement at the situation. As he went to sit, he waited till after Darby had introduced himself before he spoke to do the same. "My name is Jebidiah Badash. And I can guarantee that I have never been hired to do any job. Since most of my work has been philanthropic." RE: The Barons' Game - Heulen - 08-06-2018 "Hello Madams, I am Heulen. I have never worked for any person or been here before. All my food and coin, up until today, I have earned by hunting animals and treasure while wandering the mountains." Heulen gives a modest bow. RE: The Barons' Game - Magikeeper - 08-07-2018 Hadrian consulted his notes, growing angrier with each passing moment. "Exiled hobo hireling, man with no living employers, some wild cretin that's lived in the mountains his whole life... how in hell's embrace did she FIND these people?!" The snickering servant, meanwhile, was clearly keeping count of the number of arrivals on his fingers. RE: The Barons' Game - Jebidiah - 08-07-2018 Jebidiah smiled. "She found us because the whims of the world drew us all together here right now. Isn't it lovely how the world is just full of surprises? It kind of makes you marvel at the beauty of the force of nature seeking change." This man's reaction was actually quite amusing to him. These games should be even more fun than they were going to be previously. |
