This is a thread for the three characters Ian, Danika, and Lailoken. Magikeeper has approved them roughly enough to begin RPing, but not for full character interactions. As such, this is a thread for their arrival that will be moved after they are finalized. So they have a chance to start playing.
The three fellows arrive from a wolrdwalking trip. Around them there is a fog that extends in all directions. Visibility is limited, and the horizons can't be seen. They are in the midst of a forest. Their changes from the new magic of the world strike them all simultaneously. For Ian, his leg changes. For Danika, her eyes, skin, and blood change (from harmonic weapon), and for Lailoken the way he reaches his magic has changed, and with it the limits of what he can do.

Darby began to blink. It didn't feel the same as it used to. The old man tried sitting up, only to find his old nemesis, gravity, was getting the best of him. Darby concentrated on breathing and feeling the world around him for a few minutes, learning that the earth was sandy, and spinning rapidly.

After a few minutes, Darby was able to stand and truly take stock of his situation. He was alone, on a beach, wearing clothes he didn't recognize, smelling like a mob of skunks risen from their graves. He was holding a bag with a note that read "Here's your stuff. Sorry. Good luck!"

Inside the bag was his old sword and cloak.

"I remember these. I haven't used these in years." Thought Darby. He couldn't remember why he thought that.

"What have I been doing?"

Darby decided to try walking left. Left had never let him down before. Darby knew he could trust good old left to bring him home.

Drevin found himself sitting on a stump in an open field. The morning wind rustled through his hair lightly and the sun had yet to burn away the dew that settled on the thick grass. He instinctively felt for the daggers on his hips and was relieved to find them where he left them. He didn't have to reach to his back to know his axe was where it belonged. His mouth hardened into a thin line as he tried to remember how he had come to be where he was. He absently rubbed a hand across the stubble of his square jaw. The man could feel the blood pulse in his veins as the fury welled inside him. He knew that he had somehow been violated, that something or someone had taken something from him. It was this crime that enfuriated him not the loss as he didn't know what he was missing. Drevin's jaw clenched and his pulse slowly decreased it's hammering pace as he wrestled it to its rightful place. He may have lost his memory but he'd be damned if he was going to lose his control as well. After time he shrugged and stood up. He had no idea where he was but in the far distance he could see smoke rising from some camp or town. He checked his purse and found that he had a meager 40 gold on him. It would be enough to ensure he had a bed and food certainly but he might as well look for work while he was at it. Gods knew he didn't have anything better to do at least not that he knew of. And maybe while he was there he'd hear some clue of what the hell was going on. His mind made up he set off towards the smoke.
