Throughout the dream like city of Verto (and even a couple of places elsewhere in Avarka), you can always find the same noticeboard. Eight feet wide and four feet high, set into whatever wall can bear the most weight. The main body of the noticeboard is a rich purple cork material and the frame is a silver that reflects its surroundings with perfect clarity.

No matter where you go, someone or something is guarding this noticeboard, be it a pane of glass pressed against the board, a runic ward chain around the floor or an actual honest to gods guard. This is because The Mirror Board, as it is known to outer verto's public, is rather heavily enchanted. It is almost literally the same noticeboard, wherever you find it. Anything attached to it, marked on it, taken out of it or done to it radiates across all its copies. Making it a much better form of mass distribution of information than say, ink on ratty paper.

Find the Tiburon Press in abundance in all reputable establishments, in smaller numbers throughout the city and communal copies in local watering holes.

The Ball is Nearly Here

The following appears on what passes for noticeboards in the classier establishments in Tiburon and a few of the more affluent surrounding towns.

"The Seasonal Sponsorship Ball is nearly upon us ladies and gentleman. It is nearly the time of year when each noble house is expected to present their selection of capable or exceptional family members, servants and proteges. The Sponsorship Ball is a way for the noble houses to demonstrate their value to the world at large.

The ball is an exclusive event for Ballena Nobility and those they have granted their patronage. So if you want the opportunity to rub elbows make conversation with the people who make trade in Avarka possible, you might want to look into who you know.

The Belmont Family are apparently still looking for hopefuls for two of three categories of sponsorship, Martial and Magical.

Meanwhile the Claiborne estate will supposedly be host to a dinner party and some manner of brawl to determine whom their Martial and Social pledges will be.

Capable Investigators Required

Scattered in various useful and sometimes not so useful locations are a number of identically penned notes. Some of the penning is heavy than others, as if gone over a few times to bold it.

"My name is Skaylen and I'm a researcher in Verto, working with the oils to... well it doesn't really matter. What matters is that my workshop in the Outer City was burglarised and they took a cask of oil. I need that oil to continue my work... and to continue being allowed to work. If you're a capable investigator or have a nose for tracking things down I need your help. I'll be at the Hazy Memory calming down and waiting for people to respond to this missive. Ok, Linus said you could copy that down a few times and take it to places where it will be seen, right, good golem."

Lets Hunt Some Bandits

Various copies of the same note have been delivered along with the usual supply caravans to most of the larger settlements in Casawek, in addition to other location in the coalition.

Those interested in helping apprehend a group of bandits, thieves and marauders should convene in the watering hole in the town of Alber in southern Casawek. This is not a task for the feint hearted but the rewards should be plentiful.

Alright! To get the ball rolling I'm going to be running an adventure, starting in Tiburon and continuing to a small island (not Orl, no) off the coast of Ballena.

Word on the street is that one William Garza is looking to hire a group of mercenaries for the job of hunting down a ship full of pirates he's dead sure was cut off from the rest of the Orl fleet during the last skirmish. The Ballena military claims the ship must have already reached Orl, but they aren't the ones offering you gold, eh?

Anyone up for the challenge should ask for "Garza" at the Sunken Barrel Tavern.
