Physical Description: Rinku Hairaru has a pair of bright blue eyes akin to the sky on a clear day, and dirty blonde hair like that of dry straw. Medium-length overall. Long sideburns aren’t usually tucked away unless tied back in a ponytail/bun. He’s muscular, but lean. Not quite fair-skinned, lightly tan (does so easily without darkening excessively). Oft’ covered in mud, dust, and the sort. Though, he cares about said appearance and shaves/bathes when able.
Apparel: Rinku favors a beige/tan tunic made with wool. High-quality but wrapped with a colorful, cheap sash. Rolled up sleeve/pant-legs are preferred. Functional in mock-swordplay and work moreso than fashion. Wears sandles lined with goat fur (from the farm he worked at until recently), and a leather satchel. Sword carried on strap at the back Wooden bow, shield, and quiver too. He owns an old set of chainmail armor with a faded forest green tunic, leather boots/gloves, and beige shirt/pants (scavenged from body of late-father/sword master before fleeing)— but hasn’t donned the battle-ready outfit yet due to needing repair.

Backstory: Rinku Hairaru was born in a small village and received basic sword training from his father. He planned to leave at a later date, however a bandit raid forced the plan’s enactment preemptively. Rinku didn’t do nothing. He fought valiantly, even as the men were slain and the woman dragged off. Rinku survived only because of an approaching unit of gaurds that scared off the men (responding to the smoke). Saved by the proverbial bell, he head out in search of the kidnapped Lailah after healing enough to walk. Determinedly hopeful, albeit wracked with survivor’s guilt and fearing the worst.

Spells

<sup>Lvl 1. Divine - Sense the presence of any fey or spirits around you and get a sense of their mood.

Lvl 2. Trellis - With a touch, cause vines to erupt from the ground and crawl up the side of a vertical surface, creating a climbable surface.

Lvl 3. Anchor - Tether a target's life-force to their current location, causing them to feel a psychic pull towards that spot and weakening them the further they move from that location. Only lasts five posts and can only be cast on each target once per encounter.

Lvl 4. Heal - By touch, accelerate a target's healing processes within a body part. Instantly heals bleeding and minor cuts. Will close more serious gashes over the next few posts. Will heal in a day what would normally take weeks. Once cast will keep healing that injury until done without requiring maintaining.

Lvl 5. Pathshape - Living plants will bend and sway in the directions of your choice according to your will, but only as far they naturally can without damaging themselves.

Lvl 6. Reject - Partially phase your existence away from your surroundings for a few moments, converting blows both dealt and taken to phantom pain. Your phased form naturally pushes away from solid overlapping objects, making it difficult for deep overlaps to occur. Usable once every four posts.

Lvl 7. Fairies - Summon a mass of spiritual energy that can solidify to take the form of a trio of dream sprites. Unlike other summons, one or more of the false sprites can have personalities and memories that persist across summonings. Only one trio can be summoned at a time.

Lvl 8. Harmonize - Reach out with your spirit to sense the precise location, nature (plant, dog, human, etc), condition, and general emotional state of any living things within 100' that aren't trying to hide / deceive you.

Lvl 9. Accept (Passive) - While not benefiting from Reject/Unstuck, you may physically interact with whatever you can perceive (e.g. walk on illusions, punch the intangible, etc) as though it were solid. Does not give things other powers or capabilities (illusions can't be moved, hallucinations can't grant wishes, etc).

Lvl 10. Symbiotic Titan (takes 2 slots) - Summon a custom armor suit of animate plant-life with an appearance and defenses <strike>or weaponry</strike> of your own design, chosen upon learning (Must be Staff approved).
Weapons and Armor

The Faded Blade: A broken, 2' long steel blade (mod 4) that looks like it was originally 3' in length. The gem in its tarnished folded-wing hilt is likewise dark and murky, the blade as a whole giving the impression that it has seen better days.

<sup>Scattered - The remaining portions of the blade can repair itself like any magic item, but for some reason the blade will not replace the missing sections.

Tied - When gripped with the intent to wield it, the missing parts of the blade will phase into view - ghostly but solid. If something is overlapping with the sword it will not completely phase into view until that is no longer the case (no surprise stabbings).

Legacy - Rinku's Ancestral Mass can control any abilities the sword possesses - such as causing the missing fragment to fade into view before Rinku has chosen to wield it.

Hallowed (-1 minor) - The blade causes great pain to wrack through those that would attempt wielding it against innocent people or beasts, and the force of its blows are amplified when wielded against those sprung from darker magic, or unable to bear it`s grasp as their own (+1 strength, +2 material modifier).


Magical Possessions: Enveloping (- 0.5 minor) -- Increased space inside a <i><a href="https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/38/7e/be/387ebe9fc099928a5fa02576e8a53d85.jpg">modular leather belt pouch</a>(s) (brown)</i> kept on his hip, enough that it appears as if an infinite hole from which he intuitively 'summons' the belongings from their spectral holding to his hand upon reaching in.
Mundane Possessions:

Epona - Belgian x Clydesdale mix, a trustworthy and durable horse with ginger fur, black stockings (+snout), and beige feathering with a white mane, tail, and blaze down muzzle.

Harmonic weapon path would mean you could create a weapon that gets stronger as you do. Get some cool abilities.

Not too familiar with ancestral mass.

Skysong could be fun, like having one of the faires or something helping.

Tempest would give you the ranged slashes and stuff he could do.

You could pay for the runes, or make them .5 of a minor. of 4 you have available.

What are your thoughts on each of the talents you chose? What are you looking to gain from them?

<strike>Hrm... -taps pencil- Harmonic Weapon is cool, though he often <i>finds</i> swords and shields to use -- then after the antagonist is beaten, discards some (often, his strongest; the master sword, which would be this one) -> Sword evolves, Windwaker. </strike>

Ancestral Mass, Im thinking, would be where I edit some of his base designs here to be non-fitting. Thus, over time -- he 'turns' into the hero of legend (gets blue eyes), and follows the golden cloud (triforce) to find his master (female priest, either zelda or mida) -> Twilight Princess

<strike>Tempest; magical slashes <b>are</b> a staple from <i>much</i> of the franchise -- alas, not the one Im using (most realism) -> Skyward Sword, Four Swords, Link to the Past, etc. </strike>

<strike>Skysong... -thinks- No.. It doesn`t seem to fit quite right.</strike>

He is very musically-centered tho, so could he have practice in an (magical?) instrument of choice / spend a minor on one + skill?

From what we have discussed, it seems like Mass would work best to create the hero of legend. Midna could totally be a fairy in this world. He can totally have a magical ocarina/harp/other instrument if you would like as a minor or two depending on what it does.

The broken sword thing we spoke of would be another minor or two depending on what it did.

Well, we'll work out sword backstory once we have a sword, eh.

Based on discussion, I'll have a go at it:

^ I'd count this as a single minor. Hallowed could be worded a bit better, I admit. Anyway, would something along these lines work?

Adding after more discussion:
"Sotetvaros" is the old, sealed enemy. I'd imagine he was an older Unihakka, and the banishing happened before the fall of Din. That'd mean he was sealed in the fey realm, which works out.
