[Ariedale] [U] Leaky Tap Tavern
#1
The tavern is quaint and normally somewhat quiet the locals and a spare amount of travelers are the main business it receives. The large sign with the name printed onto it with crude drawings of leaking barrels painted onto it hangs above the front door. The large fire in the center of the tavern usually glows brightly and surrounded by large benches. Small tables dot around the rest of the building with a small stair case leading upwards toward the spare few rentable rooms. The bar isn't the cleanest one with meat strung on hooks behind it along with spices and dried herbs lining the walls. Shelves behind the bar are covered with cups and large barrels filled with alcohol are placed within the corner, taps slightly leaky. The bar tender is normally wiping down the counter as if trying to clean the stains that look uncleanable.

Note: As a thread describing a public location, it's generally assumed people can freely enter and leave the thread as they go about their business. When making a new public location, it is fine to double post in order to have the initial post only describe the location. This helps in the long run, as you might want to edit in more information as various NPCs that work/frequent the location are described by others.

Alphina walked into pub, slightly exhausted from her little journey to this town, and placed her bum on one of the stools by the bar. She wasn’t sure what kind of atmosphere this bar would hold since she’s only been in the town for half a day but she was sure glad it wasn’t an overly crazy place with fights everywhere. Alph glanced at someone a few seats away ordering a certain drink and decided that one would be alright for her since she didn’t have very much of a preference.

Moriba walked into the tavern her lionesses flanking each of her sides their collars swinging slightly with their movements. The smell of alcohol and cooking meat entered her nose causing her to relax slightly. She walked over to the bar taking a seat next to Alphina her lionesses laying down beside her seats. She looked at the bartender her almond gaze soft as she spoke calmly to him. "Have you seen a man by the name of Hemmet"? She paused looking over the bartender noticing his distant look. "Something bothering you"? She leaned back slightly stretching out her back as she awaited his answer.

The Bartender gets Alphina the drink she ordered when Moriba entered. He seemed to jump slightly when Moriba asked him questions. Straightening himself he spoke to her "The man you're looking for is the one who looks like someone spit in his beer, and I'm only worried about my daughter getting attacked by the wolves again, now leave me alone unless you're buying something". He pointed to a man sitting at one of the small tables towards the stair case. He looked back down at the bar and continued wiping in the same area his mind seeming to be elsewhere. The man he pointed to was scowling into his cup as if it held the answers to his problems.

The door to the Leaky Tap swung open to reveal an extremely lithe figure, dragging behind him an improbably large sledgehammer. The more observant among those gathered might notice that the large hunk of rock being dragged across the floor made far less noise than it should have. Errol approached the bar reaching inside his jacket with his free hand and fishing out a pair of silver coins. When he got to the bar he placed the coins down and leaned forward, leaning on the large shaft of his hammer like it was a pillar.

"Sorry for your recent troubles. Could I get some water and the location of a man named 'Hemmet'?"

Moriba had stood up just in time to see another Shifter come into the bar. Her lionesses followed her movement as she simply watched him ask the same question she had asked a few moments before hand. "Save your breath Barkeep, come with me I'm heading to the same guy". She walked forward her lionesses in tow as she pulled away from the bar. She pulled a chair out in front of the man who the Barkeeper said was Hemmet and sat down, lionesses sitting down on either side of her. "Your name Hemmet"? "I'm here to help solve your wolf problem". She paused waiting for the man to respond.

The gal gladly took her drink and immediately took a huge gulp. To a degree, she wanted to drown out the conversation right besides her though it ended up in failure as she soon heard about the barkeep’s daughter being attack. “Wait what?” Alphina put her drink down to focus on the task at hand. She didn’t really have much interest in the Hemmet guy since that probably was personal business, but that was before another walked in with a request for the same person. “What’s with this Hemmet guy?” She called out to the two who both wanted to meet him apparently. She felt like this could be something interesting.

The man Hemmet looks up at the new travelers a small amount of hope shining in his eyes. "Yeah my name's Hemmet, and girly-" He pointed towards Alphina "If your curious then come over here and take a listen, if it interests you then stick around". His hands trace the rim of his drink as he seems to ponder something. "As you've heard we've had a child attacked by a pack of wolves recently, we want em' gone". "I will pay you ten gold for every wolf you kill, bring me their pelts as proof and you can keep em', turn em' into leather or pawn em' I don't care just get the job done". His gaze is hardened as he watched the newcomers. He had gave them a proposition and now they had a choice. Fight? or Flight?

Moriba sat there her eyes narrowed at his proposition. It seemed simple enough and it was decent pay for just killing a few wolves, and she had a few idea's on how to out smart a merchant to buy the furs for a much more expensive price. She smirked and closed her eyes before replying to the man. "Alright I'll take you up on this offer, where are these wolves located and do you have any information regarding the areas around here". She crossed her legs and folded her arms over her chest, her lionesses staying indifferent to the situation. She really didn't care if the other two joined her on this little job, unless they decided to stay and chat for a few minutes.

Alphina furrowed her eyebrows at Hemmet’s bold actions. ‘Girly?’ She had thought to herself as she moved to join the duo before her. As the other spoke, she was slowly deciding on whether she should put in the effort for this task because it seemed easy enough. Well, whatever, she wouldn’t have anything else to do for a while. “We’ll looks like Antler and I are working together.” The gal gave a grin to the girl next to her.
