[Tiburon][U] The Claiborne Estate

Havarti smiles towards the older lady, "I would as well enjoy a relationship after the ball, your company is wonderfully soothing. And I hope you do not mind, but you remind me of someone I was once very close with. " Havarti truly meant that, Dorothy reminded him of his sister before she passed. Havarti's older sister was always so happy and pleasant, plus she made wonderful muffins.

Banquet

"That sounds a wonderful idea. I hope the person I remind you of isn't too unpleasant." she said with a smile, turning to face the colour blind elf. "And you, Prisma. What are you after?" she asked.

"I would rather not say." said Prisma, suddenly very interested in a plate of peaches.

Door

"Quite the opposite. The intent is exhibition not elimination." the valet said as he led Fen through to the room where Yack was staring at a wall and Jones was trying to buddy up to a young girl.

Antechamber

The demon girl gave Jones a look that screamed either 'don't talk to me' or 'who are you calling human?', reading facial expressions is a nuanced art.

A new challenger is introduced to the room full of combatants.

Jones freezes up, his expression becoming much more dour. He gently puts his fist back down in his lap and his breathing gets slightly heavier, his eyes wider.

Not gonna give you the satisfaction of italicized thought bubble this time, you just have to imagine what's going on in there.

Dinner Party

Cassie had been pondering how Lyor was defeated so quickly. She wanted to ask Havarti, but that might tip off the others. A spell, maybe? What if she lost without knowing it!?

..Well, Havarti would probably tell her. Or.. or maybe she couldn't lose then!? The girl grinned. Papa always said the ignorance was a fake shield but maybe she could prove him wrong!

This devious line of thought found itself immediately discarded when Havarti and the granny started talking about relationships. She heard about those! She was pretty sure that was a young person thing though. Although she didn't really know what was so special about the- wait, what did Havarti say he was looking for?!

"You lost someone too, Havarti?! The beach man lost someone, he was trying to find her with music - I told him to try playing louder - I liked him, he was nice. WAIT." Cassie turned towards Dorothy. "Can the social-lights find anyone? Not just the bo- things they've hidden? Oh! Do they hide living people too?" Cassie didn't think Havarti was looking for a body, anyway. A dead body was an "it" not a "her". Papa said so.

THE BATTLE!

Yack continued to stare at the wall. This continued to be fine.

Havarti smiled at Dorothy, "Do not worry madam Dorothy, the person I refer to is a wonderful person indeed." He then turned towards Cassie and smiled with a tinge of sadness behind it, "Yes Cassie, I have lost a few people, but I am trying to find out where one of them went. This person is very important to me." Havarti could not help but think the worst, he heard stories from his father about how he was not long for the earth after the next heir was born..... He actually probably was looking for a dead body at this point, it had been so many years since his father left, and he knew about the advanced aging. Hopefully he did not die alone... Havarti blinked his eyes to rid himself of the dark thoughts and brought himself back by focusing for a moment on Cassie's and Dorothy's conversation. He had to maintain composure, especially here. Since he has not found that red haired lady, he needed the help of Lady Claiborne to find his father, and if she could not do that.... Then he would ask about Titanius.. Ria's father. There is no way what the baker next door was true, the man his father spoke so highly of, the man who taught his village to make weapons from metal and armor for the mounts and so much more would die to a fire. Something was suspicious about that.

"Well that's certainly good to hear!" He responded to the valet cheerfully. When they got to the room where the combatants were waiting he he fell silent, his eyes flitted nervously about the room taking in his opponents. Silence hung around the room lending an ominous tone to the gathering of warriors. He scowled into the corner and muttered something about no one even enjoying the moment.

Dinner

"So you're looking for someone too, young Cassie? I do the like the sound of helping reunite with those they've lost. It would be good for my image." Dorothy replied.

Floren Hargrave dropped his pastry.

"... wait..." Prisma stammered.

Dancing

The valet returned with a tray full of tankards, each filled with either water or a weak mead.

"If you all wouldn't mind splitting into pairs." he asked politely.

Jones immediately joins the lump of crab flesh. As long as he has to be in a pair with a demon possessed monstrosity, he'd prefer one who isn't lying about it.

Dinner Party

Cassie furrowed her brow as she gave it a good think. "I.. it'd be nice to find the lady beach man is looking for." Cassie looked back up. "I don't know what she looks like though! I- oh! You could find beach man first, then he could tell you who he's looking for and then you could find her!" Cassie nodded, very pleased with herself for having solved everything. That is, until she realized she'd missed something! "Um, I don't think beach man was hidden by social-lights. Could you still find him?" Cassie had heard the social-lights stood at the top of society. That'd probably make it easier to look around, but she was pretty sure that was figu.. figurat.. thing that was sorta a thing but not actually that thing.

THE BATTLE!!!

Yack glanced over at Jones, the man seeing for the first time the golem's corpse-like eye and clearly possessed ball of dark, possibly fiendish, metal eye.

It gave him a slight nod and finished turning around, so as to face the valet.

"We'd have to discuss details but yes, I'm sure I know some people who could track down your... acquaintance's friend?" replied Dorothy, making sure she somewhat understood Cassie.
