[Tiburon] [U] The Sunken Barrel Tavern

"No, I think you are an idiot. But tell you what. I like this boat. So how about you just give it to me? Do that and I won't make this difficult." He said taking a step forward to help Kaia to get into position. He drew his blade then and was making motions of him using it to pick his nails clean, attention still mostly on the kid.

"TAKE ME SERIOUSLY!" The boy lunges forward, wildly slashing at Kage with his cutlass after the first few steps.

Kaia frantically flies into position as soon the youth passes her.

[Kage]

Kage extends the chain on his dagger as soon as the boy charges and he has it begin to leave the vortexes. With his left hand, he makes a punching motion and uses Sunbeam aimed at the boy's face while he steps backwards a step to dodge the wild blows.

The maneuvers to reflect the light back towards Kage. Or rather, he tries. What actually happens is he gets sun beamed in his starboard eye.

The bandit staggers a step back but readies himself to attempt an impaling strike.

Kaia, for her part, pokes the back of his neck with the tip of one of her tiny fingers, positioning herself to stay out of Crimson's peripheral vision. She then does her very best impression of a man who's had a smoke or several thousand. "Don't move if you want to live."

[Kage]

Kage smirks, uses blind as he himself steps to the starboard side of the bandit (The bandits right side), snaps the dagger chain back to dagger size as he tries to close the distance in order to hopefully get the blade to stab him anywhere in his torso in hopes of activating the flip ability of the blade.

The bandit flies into action, stepping forward and turning port to parry the non-existent blade behind him and thrusting his fire axe in Kage's direction. Or where Kage was, anyway. Kaia clutches the back of Bandit's neck, slamming a foot into his shoulder to be pushed out of the sword's path.

Kage could probably still make that body blow, Bandit's bow-side eye doesn't seem to have recovered from the blast of burning light..

OOC: I assumed Kage fully dodged the thrust instead of rushing the body blow.

And indeed Kage goes for the body shot with the hopeful flip of the blade, after using Shield to create a small barrier between him and where the axe would have to move backwards to hit him.

Bandit starts turning back toward the bow, inititially maneuvering to stab at whatever is behind him while also also swinging defending himself with the axe... but then he sees that Kage isn't where he thinks he is. He reflexively slams his axe into the shield and is soon stabbed in the side, his coat torn up and bloodied by the flipping motion. Crimson shrieks in pain. If Kage wanted to he could move in with the drill motion for a dangerously deep stab.

Figuring no one would care about one less bandit in the world, Kage does indeed go for a deeper stab, activating Skein as he does so to prevent blood splatter staining his clothes.

[Magikeeper]

The drilling stab is deep and true. The dying bandit, name ungiven to the end, drops his weapons, meekly pulling the knife out of himself before staggering into the side of the ship and crumpling against the bulwark.

He must not be completely dead yet, however, as the fire axe continues to burn even as it hits the wooden deck.
