[Outer Verto] Skaylen's Workshop
Kaia, who was definitely present the entire time off to the side, was more than a little shocked. This lady was strong. 'Kage, let's pick the option that doesn't make powerful immortals unhappy. Also.. I..'

Kaia pondered for a moment. Even if the woman COULD grant her original wish, did she really desire that? She was currently sort of immortal and unkillable, which was pretty nice.. but if something ever happened to Kage in a cave or something... 'Kage, please work with me here.'

Kaia flutters up, cusping her hands in what she hoped was as sympathetic a position as she could muster. "Is there a way for me to move without a wielder? Teleport, maybe? I noticed you weren't talking about aiding spirits but my friend here hasn't decided if he's taking your deal or not yet."
Reply
"When you say 'me' do you mean the sword to which you are bound, fel-szellem?" the fey asked.
Reply
'Fel-szellem'? That was new! "Yes! Unless you have a better solution?"

Kaia immediately regretted her choice of words. For the love of.. she mentally face palmed in lieu of doing so physically. Yes, why not ask the force of nature to wing it. That always worked out when dealing with mischievous primeval forces. Always.

"You wish to avoid being left behind or forgotten?" she asked, but did not wait for an answer.

"I have a gift for that."

The fey reached out and blew out towards Kaia, and by some odd extension Kage, a clear idea of what she was being offered crystallised in her mind.

Build a Snowman - A gift from a wintry fey in exchange for a small amount of something interesting. Kaia has been granted the ability, once summoned, to shatter the blade of shrouded skies, transforming it into compacted snow. Kaia is able to leach water magic from whoever she travels most with to fuel this power.
- 0 - When Kaia shatters the blade it reforms as a featureless child formed from packed snow. The creature has weak strength and can last up to an hour in warm environments. It always listens to Kaia's commands, following to the best of its simple intelligence. When the snowman melts or is destroyed, the blade reforms in a puddle.
- 1 - With a little water magic, the compacted snow form can keep any one of the original blade's abilities in this animate form. A new ability can be chosen each time it forms.
- 2 - The snowman becomes a little pink and gains the strength of the last humanoid creature cut with the blade. This strength persists across creations and resets only when the blade draws more blood.

Kage thought about the things as everyone made their decisions. And an idea struck him. He went to the fey and asked some questions. "That ability seems wonderful for her. However, it doesn't really suit me. So here is what I have to offer. I will give you someone else's share of the oil for her ability, but what will you give me for mine? Because I do like to complete jobs, and delivering it is my job." He was curious if she could offer him something tempting.

Ria gave Kage the side eye when he mentioned stealing another person's portions, like a mother would to a child. She thought a moment and smiled, "I counted Kaia as a person in my count due to her free will to think and act, so in my mind she counts as a person. Since the kind lady here only specified a being anyone OTHER than Silkie... otherwise Silkie would count as well. I count souls, not physical bodies, as anyone rightly should." Ria hoped that Kage understood she was helping him and would remember that and maybe help her out.

Kage felt a chill around him as he offered someone else's share of the oil, but the fey looked more curious than upset. When Ria made her case for Kaia she glanced sideways at the inn keeper.

After a rather tense moment she sighed and spoke, "... I have nothing for you at the moment, little thief. Take your share back to the tinkerer. As for you, fel-szellem, would you like my gift?"

Ria gets the sense that Kage has just been promised something, completely separate from their current dealings.

Kage feels Remembered.

Kage acknowledged what Ria was trying to do mentally. But in practicality, he just wanted to see how much he could get. As the Fey made her decisions, he was...intrigued. He generally didnt enjoy being remembered when theiving. But he doubted she would ever directly interfere with him. "I do believe we have an arrangement then. Find me when you do have something for me, and we can talk then. For now, let me get you those two portions." He gave a satisfied smile and went back inside to grab any container he could.

While inside, he assured Kaia he would get her some water magic and that it would be fun to work with the little snowman to do things in the future. He then reached into his coat to hide the fact his void space wasnt the typical rune expansion of clothes and pulled out the cask. Giving it a measure, he poured 1/6 of the oil to represent the 2 of 12 portions being given to her. Then put he cask back in his void. H brought the container back out and handed it to her.

"YES!" exclaimed the little ghost fairy. "Yes, I would." Kaia felt she should probably try to play it cool, but she was also much too busy being ecstatic to bother.

So ecstatic, in fact, that she didn't even berate Kage for trying to push his luck with a powerful immortal and ending up on its short list of folk to mess with later. If he ended up a frozen corpse in nowheresville she could just leeeeaaaavvveee. Oh gods what did he just set himself up for - NO! Happy time now. Facepalm later.

A cloud of mist enveloped the portions of oil and soon it had disappeared. The fey woman smiled and climbed back on her horse.

"Until another time, perhaps. If any of you meet me again, you may call me Rime." she said, before spurring the white horse off towards the north.
