Cassidy usually has horrible timing, but it seems she was finally able to muster up some luck. Only several yards nearby, she found herself placing her clenched fist against the face of a man in a violent yet calm manner. She was slapped on her lower section with a sexual connotation so Cassidy struck the man high with an aggressive connotation—right into his cheekbone. The altercation happened so quickly that Cass didn’t even realize that there were several men in attendance of the punch—mostly inebriated—rushing to their friend’s aid.
Her shadowtwin playfully chided Cass with some internal dialogue for reacting without looking. Not that Cass was much for thinking before acting, but she begrudgingly admitted her fault out loud as she attempted to move away from the incident.
“Tch. I know, I know.”
Throwing up her hood to make it harder for the men to identify her, the commotion on the street was simply too good to pass up. Cass immediately slipped through a few people, wrapping her one arm around Querida’s shoulder in a familiar embrace. Of course, Cass didn’t know Querida at all, but it helped her blend into the situation a bit more. Cass assumed that Querida would be a bit put off by some random woman coming up and being so friendly, so she immediately explained what was going on. In this life or the last, she was never very good at lying.
”I know you don’t know me but I’m trying to hide from a man back there who I punched in the face. Trust me, he deserved it, but I’m not interested in taking on half the drunks in this place and getting arrested for it in the process. Can I hang on you for a moment?”
