Hayze lowered his eyebrows at the response, a combination of confusion and annoyance showing on his face. It seemed some situations, or some individuals rather, felt like they deserved a measure of cordiality.
His shadow gave him a soft, satisfied sounding chuckle at the thought. He sighed in return, painfully preparing the words he was about to force out of his mouth.
