"Well, I'll be honest with you, I thought I may have found myself either a free meal or at least bait for something a bit more alive."

As he finishes speaking, Heulen's stomach begins to growl.

"You would EAT something that smelt like THIS?!"

Darby lifted his armpit and took a whiff.

"I'm literally starving to death right now and I just got less hungry."

"If my options were limited, yes. But I think we're outside of a city so I don't have to worry about that anymore do I. It really didn't smell as bad as you all are making it out to have, but now that I'm closer it's not quite a carcass's smell. More like spoiled offal."

Heulen looks at the city that he and the others had found themselves near.

"So, any idea where we are?"

Understanding dawned upon Darby.

"Oh! You're a ... I think the preferred term is 'poor person', correct?"

"We are currently standing outside Fovaros. A town on the eastern side of the continent. " He proceeded to stop letting the smell continue to assault his senses though. He used Soak on Darby proceeded by moving his hand around in motions to have flow start sluicing away the grime. He figured that The female could still scour him in the river if that was what she really desired.

"Maybe, don't know what qualifies as poor or not around here. Don't know much at the moment other than I'm Heulen and it's mostly a pleasure to meet you all."

Heulen extends a clawed hand to whoever is willing to shake it.

The stench-heavy male seemed more keen on taking her offer than the other's man's offer, and she narrowed her cerulean eyes, ignoring the extended clawed appendage. <b>"I must warn you, if you're seeking a gentle touch, you'll be quite disappointed."</b> She sniffed, almost indignant, and warned, <b>"Your skin must have several layers of grime stuck to it to be so rank, man."</b>

Her left hand twitched, halfway to her handwraps when she realized the <i>thing</i> charging from the depths of the forest was, in fact, another man. She watched the exchange between him and the odorous male in silence, wandering at what exactly her world had come to that this was her pastime now -- speaking to random strangers rather than earning the money that was awaiting a home in her pockets.

<b>"How about,"</b> she offered when there seemed to be a break in the conversation, <b>"we hunt? I'm certainly starved after my trek, and it seems that you and you"</b> -- she pointed at the newcomer and the rather . . . aromatic male -- <b>"could use a bite to eat."</b>

Darby enthusiastically rubs his drenched clothes against his skin, using his body as a makeshift washboard. He nods at Heulens hand, acknowledging that an attempt was made but making no move to grasp it.

"Ooh, refreshing. My name is Darbison Jackson Esquire, by the by. I swear I don't typically meet people this way. Normally I'd suggest the tavern for food but I take it you're all ... 'Local color', so lets go hunting. Couldn't hurt."

"I'm always up for a good hunt."

Heulen nods back at Darby and slowly lowers his hand.

"Now that the smell has been subdued, I might be able to focus on another trail if one exists."

She looked at the two agreeing and cast a glance at the magic user. <b>"Care to join?"</b> The more there were present, the more likely they could hunt a bigger prey. Nashota tended to be fastidious in her meals; keeping as much food with her as possible from her hunts so that, when she was low on money, she could focus on spending it on necessities like shelter, clothes, and weapons.

She paced a few feet to her left and began stripping, methodically placing her clothes, undergarments, and weapons in the small smattering of bushes she found there. She didn't waste time on pleasantries; pleasantries were for friends and family. The latter were all dead, and the former were few and far in-between. <b>"You can call me Nashota,"</b> she said on the tail-end of Darbison's greeting.

She ignored any stares that might have been tossed her way; she'd gotten used to the trivial business of stripping before a shift. She grew taller when she shifted because her legs extended to include the hock of a wolf, and her spine grew curved from the half-form she took in a shift. Her ears would move up, to the top of her head to take on a more triangular shape, and her nose and mouth would jut forward to mimic a wolf's muzzle. The muscles of her body would rip her clothing when she wore it as she changed into a beast meant for being <i>more</i>, donning a thick copse of midnight black fur.

The last of her belongings safely hidden away in the bushes, Nashota stayed crouched where she was. The magic user had washed the homeless male, and now the air was heavy with the scents of the forest. She took a full breath and tossed over her shoulder, <b>"I scent boar to the north, so that's where I'll be going."</b> The smile she gave was tight; she'd never shifted in front of anyone but her parents. <b>"Keep up if you can."</b>

The shift was instantaneous and smooth; one moment, a human, and the next, a beast. She didn't give them time to inspect her canine form; she crouched and dashed in the direction of north, following the scent of their quarry.
