[Past] Shaking the dust off.

Jebidiah went around looking for something to do. He found himself outside the city of Fovaros. He hadn't been here before, but maybe he could find something to do, or someone to help. He patted his golem on the head, even though it gave him no real reply. He wondered when he would figure out how to change that. Shrugging it off, he adjusted the living ice bracelet he wore. He was just staring at the city from a few dozen feet out of the gates, seeming to admire the view.

Nearby, a smelly dirty homeless person lay against a tree, holding a sign that reads "will merc for shower"

Jebidiah sees the man and frowns. He approaches with a gentle smile on his face. "Tell me man, do you wish to merc, or simply need a shower. I can provide you with a shower simply enough. As for mercing, I'm sure I can help you find a job should you be unable to make your way into town."

Darby tries to leap to his feet quickly, failing. Instead he struggles to his feet, coughing the whole way.

"Shower, please! I smell like if a pile of garbage became sentient and smelled itself and was so disgusted it puked. Also, thanks for the offer to help me find a job, but it shouldn't be necessary. If I can't even find the work, I almost certainly won't be any help doing the job."

Pacing through the shadows cast by the canopy, Nashota instinctively avoided twigs and underbrush, aiming to step where she would make the least noise. It was the way she hunted, both on and off the job, and her quick footing had kept her alive on more than one occasion. Her light steps allowed her to catch the voices before she was right on top of them, as they didn't seem to be making an effort to hide what they were saying.

Her hand twitched, wanting for the security of the handwraps she usually wore before she met the men the two voices belonged to. She stopped for a moment, contemplating whether or not it was truly worth it to stop and dig her wraps out of her bag for what was, in all likelihood, just two innocents having a conversation. She decided it wasn't worth the effort, and continuing on her way, came upon one well-tended male and one not so, if his scent was anything to judge by.

Her eyes watered from the intensity of his stench, her sensitive nose blighted because of her enhanced sense of smell. <b>"If you don't take this man's offer of a free shower, I've no qualms with dragging you to the river myself and scrubbing you bare."</b> Her alto voice came out in a croak of irritation, her usual rudeness exacerbated by the current circumstances.

Darby turned to look at Nashota, surprised at the intrusion. Then he turned back to face Jebidiah.

"I hope you don't mind, but I think I'll go with her offer instead."

Darby turned to face Nashota again. "No need for dragging, I'll follow your lead! Thanks in advance."

Suddenly the sound of some large creature moving quickly towards the odd group can be heard coming from behind the tree. Soon that sound is accompanied by a deep and clear voice yelling:

"HOW OLD DOES THE MEAT OVER THERE LOOK TO YOU THREE!?"

Jebidiah smiled at the them all as they arrived. The offer for the shower was accepted and rejected. He didn't let it bother him, thought he would see it done if the lady was bluffing. At the aggressive intrusion, he simply turned his head and said in mock seriousness. "I would say a few decades at least. Though I think they don't think of themselves as meat.

But greetings to all gathered. Have we all come here seeking work? What a disharmonious group we all are here."

Having finally passed the tree, Heulen stops upon hearing Jebidiah's words and seeing that the source of the smell he was tracking wasn't in fact a dead beast.

"Oh man, I thought you three had found a carcass. I was going to ask for some if you didn't mind and if it wasn't too far gone. Work?"

"What would you want a smelly old carcass for?"
