He watched the rock hit bottom on a steep slant before sliding down to a flatter area. It wasn't the bottom he had expected. There should have been sand or rocks. Obviously there was something down there. Part of a ship maybe? He was curious, but not enough to investigate further. He couldn't see how it would effect the mission.
The crew's attention turned to the island as they neared. The ship was as close as it could get and there were still rocks and cliffs to face. He could get over the rocks without an issue. But the cliff still concerned him. How could they even consider opening themselves up for attack like that with the possibility of a Dragon?
Kage's plan made sense. If he went up alone and secured a safe and relatively quick path up, then they would reduce the risk dramatically. Not only of falling but being attacked. The others could remain on the boat to keep an eye out for the lizard or even attacks from the supposed Pirate crew.
He turned his attention to Dalton. "Are you saying these feathers came from one creature?" They had already considered the possibility of a large Dragon but this was the first hint of proof.
