Havarti chuckles and shakes his head trying to dispel any bad feeling. "No worries my friend! These two seem to be ever elusive.. I am sure if you saw him you would surely recognize him. Hard to miss a traveling animal that large. I am just concerned for them. No one I have come across yet in my 4 years of travel have seen them..... But enough of that sad talk! What are your plans for that water walking spell now that you have seen this version does not work." Havarti puts his drawings back in order trying not to show his concern too much, letting Jacob keep the one in his hands.

Jacob reached into his bundle of things and pulled out the journal he had been scribbling in before getting in the sea.
"I think I need to get the water to pull itself together more tightly... upward force isn't enough without the burst of primal magic. I need the water to behave a bit more like custard." he said, completely seriously.

Havarti nods sensing his seriousness as he listens to Jacob. He didnt know much about magic other than fire and his ancestral magic, but he wanted to help out his new friend. He thinks hard for a moment and then speaks, "Well.. Not sure if this will help but, I remember fondly times where my family and I played on top of frozen lakes. Maybe.. You need to freeze the water a bit? Give you that tightness you were speaking of. Havarti hoped his advice would help the man, or at least spark something. Beau walked back over and started to sniff Jacob's staff curiously.

Jacob scribbled something wholly illegible into the journal and something else which was also chicken scratch but looked like it started with 'crystal'. "That is not a bad idea... it might help with the cohesion..." he almost muttered.
The staff lifted a couple of inches off the ground.

Havarti smiles at Jacob wishing that he himself had something he was that dedicated to. He saw the word crystal and paused. Did Jacob know alot about crystals? Maybe he could help him then... Havarti looked towards his sketch book for a moment, brows furrowed. No... There could be no way this man would know.. He felt slightly insecure about showing him the doodles of his visions. After all it was a very personal matter... Right? Beau is clearly intrigued by the staff and nudges it with his nose. Havarti cleared his throat and thought it wouldnt hurt to at least ask this man how much he knew. "Crystal? Do you require crystals for your spells?"

"Getting a closer look at a broken down sapphire might give me some insight into finalising the composition, yeah." Jacob said, flicking his hand upwards. The staff jumped a foot in the air and hovered there.

Havarti spoke in his native tongue to Beau "Beau heel!" The various obediently move to Havarti's side and sat down. "Sorry, he is a tad curious. So a sapphire would show you information about how to set up your spell. Do you know about many different crystals?"

"He's fine. Academically, yes. Very old texts talk about crystals the same way we talk about aura-touched materials. Interesting stuff." Jacob replied as he tugged the staff back over towards the bundle.

Havarti nods and decides against his nerves that he should go ahead and trust this man and to show Jacob the doodles from some of his visions. He pulls a few pages from the back of the drawing book and shows them to Jacob. The pages are filled with words such as " Fire? Father? Red head girl? Screaming? A child? The Ocean? " and several others written in his native language. They are accompanied by small doodles of random things he has seen in visions or colors of things from his visions. But the one thing in common is a large black and purple swirling crystal. He carefully hands them to Jacob. "I know it may be a long shot, but.. I am troubled with... Visions. And this crystal seems to be a common occurrence through out them. I know it is not as good as the real thing but unfortunately I am unsure of what or where this crystal is. I think it is important somehow."

Jacob had a look at the pictures and read through the scribbles.
"I mean... this looks vaguely like onyx... but onyx doesn't hold that shape... or channel vital magics... It could be... no... You've got yourself a mystery there. I'll bet that's a completely unique crystal, though, its too specific not to be." Jacob said, tracing his fingers along Havarti's diagrams.
