Drevin extended his smaller hand and firmly shook the young man's hand. "Drevin." he settled back a bit and rested one elbow on the table and his other hand absently rested on the hilt of a dagger at his hip. "Hunt them... You unsure of their particular whereabouts?

Ever practical, Riesig offered up his opinion. "I think it's more an issue of they need killing, and he needs weapons to do it with."

Randall nodded, adding "There might also be an element of hunting. We have no way of knowing where in Maroo they'll be gathered."

Drevin's lip turned up at the corner in a slight smile. "They the only ones left there or did any of the farmers stay behind?"

"From what I hear some of them fled towards Ontaran rather than Malber. I don't think the Crimson Murder allowed anyone the option of staying." Randall said, gesturing loosely southward when he mentioned Ontaran.
Drevin scratched at the stubble on his jaw. "Not much of a hunt when everyone in the town's a target. What's the pay?"

Arl had initially been listening intently to Drevin and Randall's discussion, but had turned to deeper thoughts after Riesig's point. They probably were going to have to kill some of the bandits, but Randall had said they were a cowardly lot...
"Say, although the chance to do so likely won't arrive until after the fighting is well underway, do we have a way to haul them to the authorities if we catch any of them alive?"

Randall shifted a little and the group heard a rattling of metal underneath the table.
"I was able to get my hands on a bag of manacles and chains. Four or five usable sets of manacles, but you know what they say about the heads of snakes," said the guard.
Drevin shot the girl a slight sneer when she interrupted him. "I don't much care if bandits need to be killed or taken hostage providing the price is right. Prisoners are always more work though. What did you say the pay was again?"

"The pay will mostly be whatever we can take from the gang themselves, though a few of the people here have promised favours or coin if we're successful," Rand said to Drevin, hoping that was enough to tempt him.
