Nathaniel Urusade

That sounds great. We could include more specific and advanced spirits as time goes on. This is something that I think would help down the line, and possibly make Nathaniel an important figure in the canon of the world.

Mineral Binding - The pick can cling to any earthen material it has been driven into <b>as though it had</b> <s>with</s> Mighty strength.

Implied it would only work if mighty strength was used to drive it in.

>> Devour Earth - The wielder <b>can</b>, upon striking an unattended, non-magical stone or earthen surface, <b>will the pick to</b>

Looks like you rewrote mid thought. Pick a wording.

>> Mountain Formation - With 30 minutes of concentration the material stored within the pick can be released and roughly shaped within a 20' radius, taking the form of a nearly invisible brown fog that solidifies over time. Material released this way remains attuned to the pick for 12 hours, allowing up to 100 cubic feet of it to be re-absorbed by the pick with each strike instead of 10.

That aside, this dude is looking super fun. Can't wait to interact with him.

I made some edits. I question if Devour Earth was really improper grammar but I think it's clearer now anyway Tongue. Not sure why you copy pasted Mountain Formation at the end?

Anyway, assuming JTA is fine with these items/abilities I'd say we can approve this! Technically 4.5 minors w/Deep Miner's Overalls, although the runes would only cost 75gp.

My mouse just wanted more to love I guess? Not sure either lol. But he definitely seems like a great character that could make some cool changes to the world if he sticks with it. He just needs to update his sheet with the changes and equipment and we can begin doing things.

So, does this work, JTA?

Yeah, this is awesome. All I need now is to figure out which country my character would start of in. Any suggestions?

and I'll use 75g on the overalls and the rest for spells

I want to change my Battle - Level Talent to Mountain style because Nathaniel is a protector/guardian archetype. He is empathetic, protective, and has a strong sense of justice. If i keep rushdown, I'll chose a battle minor of--- Biggest Threat - Nathaniel is perceived to be the largest threat in battle, so most of the enemy's attention is directed towards them and away from any potential allies.
if i go with Mountain Style, my battle minor would be ---
Living Shield Nathaniel's shielding abilities protect others just as well as he protects himself, becoming a walking shield for his allies.
...something like that

Assuming the removal of the cling-power (for -.5), and the addition of the slight drawback (for another -.5):

Pick Focus - Nathaniel has heavily specialized in the use of picks - his current martial stances and techniques training do not apply to more general weapon use outside of wielding pick-like weapons and unarmed combat, and expanding his training to include such weapons would be similar to learning the technique from scratch (100gp but only 25 BP instead of 50).

As discussed in the chat, approved!

---

As a note for anyone else reading this - I feel this is a real drawback for this character but it's so specific to this case that I would not assume it would be applicable to others. For example, being restricted to swords isn't much of a drawback. Being restricted to fans when you have, like, 2 abilities that make you awesome at wielding fans in combat (or a starting fan whose powers revolve heavily around being all-purpose in combat) isn't much of a restriction either. Also, all of this hinges on Nathanial being a very charge-into-combat sort of PC.
